# Privacy Policy

**Last updated:** 10 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data maksut.net collects, why, who it is shared with, how long it is kept and how you can exercise your rights. It covers this website, its free and paid tools, purchases made here, and sign-ups to the MiniSEO waitlist.

## Who is responsible for your data

The controller of your personal data is Maksut, who runs maksut.net. For any privacy question or request, write to [hello@maksut.net](mailto:hello@maksut.net).

## What we collect and why

### When you contact us

The contact form asks for your name, email address, company, the service you are interested in, your budget and your message. Alongside it we record the page where you first arrived, the referring page and campaign tags (such as `utm_source`) so we know how you found us. We use this only to reply to your enquiry and prepare a proposal. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in understanding which channels bring enquiries.

### When you use the free tools

Tools such as the AEO Visibility Checker and the Content Gap Finder analyse a web address or text you submit. To do this, the submitted address or text is sent to AI analysis providers, which generate the analysis, and to Google PageSpeed Insights, which measures page performance.

Do not submit personal data, confidential text or pages that are not public. If you choose to enter your email address to receive a report, we store it and may send a short series of follow-up emails about the result. Every email contains an unsubscribe link. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time; we keep a record of when consent was given.

### When you buy

Paid products on this site (such as AEO Pro, the premium content audit, MiniSEO Pass and URL monitoring) are paid through **Stripe**. Stripe collects your card details directly; we never see or store them. We receive and keep your email address, what you bought, the amount and the date, and we issue access codes or credits linked to that purchase. Legal basis: performance of the contract, and our legal obligation to keep accounting records.

Price Anchor Pro is sold through **Freemius**, which acts as the reseller and processes payment, licensing and invoicing under its own privacy policy.

### When you join the MiniSEO waitlist

When you join the waitlist from inside the MiniSEO plugin, the plugin sends your sign-up to maksut.net. We store the email address you give, the address of the website the plugin runs on, its platform, your user ID on that website and the date you joined. We use this only to tell you about MiniSEO releases. Legal basis: your consent.

### When you comment

If you leave a comment, WordPress stores your name, email address, the comment, your IP address and your browser’s user-agent string, to display the comment and to fight spam. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a moderated comment section.

### When you browse

Our hosting provider and Cloudflare, which delivers and protects the site, process technical data such as IP addresses and request details to serve pages and block attacks. Our own 404 log records only the address that could not be found, never your IP address or browser. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure website.

## Cookies and analytics

When you first visit, a banner asks for your choice. We use:

- **Essential storage** — `maksut_cookie_consent` remembers your choice. It is always set.
- **Analytics** — Google Analytics 4 (cookies such as `_ga`) loads only after you choose “Accept all”. It tells us which pages are read and how visitors arrive. If you choose essential only, Google Analytics is not loaded at all.
- **WordPress cookies** — set only if you comment (to remember your name and email) or log in.

You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site’s cookies and storage in your browser, which shows the banner again.

## Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with the service providers that run this site for us, each under a data processing agreement or equivalent terms:

- our web hosting provider — website hosting;
- Cloudflare — content delivery and security;
- Google — Analytics (only with your consent) and PageSpeed Insights;
- AI analysis providers, in the United States and China — analysis of the content you submit to the free and paid tools;
- Stripe — payments on this site;
- Freemius — Price Anchor Pro sales and licensing;
- Google Workspace — our email, including the emails we send and receive.

## International transfers

Several of these providers process data outside your country, including in the United States and, for one of the AI analysis providers used by the premium content audit, in China. Where the law requires it, transfers rely on adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses or the other safeguards the provider offers.

## How long we keep data

- Report emails from the free tools: up to two years, then deleted automatically, or earlier if you ask.
- Follow-up email records: 180 days after the sequence ends or you unsubscribe.
- Usage and credit records of the tools: one year.
- URL monitoring: 60 days after the subscription ends or is cancelled.
- Purchase records: as long as tax and commercial law requires, up to ten years.
- Contact form enquiries: two years, then deleted automatically.
- Comments: until the comment is removed.
- Google Analytics data: up to 14 months.

## Your rights

Depending on where you live — including under the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR and Turkey’s Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK, Article 11) — you can ask to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. Write to [hello@maksut.net](mailto:hello@maksut.net); we reply within one month (KVKK: 30 days).

Some records cannot be deleted on request while the law requires us to keep them, such as purchase records; we will tell you when that applies. You can also complain to your data protection authority — in the UK the Information Commissioner’s Office, in Turkey the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK), or the authority in your EU country.

## Security

The site is served only over HTTPS, administrative access is restricted, and personal data is limited to what each feature needs. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

## Children

This site is intended for businesses and professionals and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.

## Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, we update the date at the top of this page. Material changes are also highlighted on this page.
